UpNext Webinar - Asterisk Talley
May 05, 2025
Foresight's UpNext program provides the next generation of competitive youth golfers the technology resources they need to be the best version of themselves on the course. With that, UpNext members have the opportunity to learn from top elite youth players in the game. We recently hosted Asterisk Talley, currently number 1 on the AJGA Girls rankings to talk about her hot start to the 2025 season.
Asterisk finished in 2nd place at the ANWA — Augusta National Women's Amateur — which led to a sponsors exemption into the LPGA's first major of the year, the Chevron Championship.
In addition to plenty of conversation about her experience at Augusta, we learned about how she uses her QuadMAX. Two areas in particular that she was struggling with before using a launch monitor were a nose-diving driver ball flight, and spin control with her wedges. With help from the QuadMAX, she was able to more finely tune her driver launch conditions and hone her wedge gapping & shotmaking.
"GRASS IS GRASS"
We asked about her approach to playing in larger events like the ANWA and Chevron and her response was that "grass is grass", meaning that Asterisk prepares for every tournament with the same intensity. She also brings that attitude to practice sessions and she sees this directly affect her performance in her quest to win more this year and reach #1 in the world.
The full video of the webinar is posted above. We appreciate Asterisk's time and look forward to rooting for her this year.
