Bethpage Black on FSX Play

Sep 26, 2025 Bethpage Black on FSX Play

Take on Bethpage Black from Your Home Simulator

Bethpage Black is one of golf’s most iconic public courses – and one of the most intimidating. The par-71 beast is defined by narrow fairways, cavernous bunkers and a famous sign on the first tee that warns only “highly skilled golfers” should attempt it.

How challenging is it? Just ask the diehards who’ve camped overnight in the parking lot hoping to snag a walk-on tee time the next morning.

However, there are no tee times to be had this week, as the world gets a front-row seat to the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. It’s golf’s most electric stage: Team USA versus Team Europe, rowdy crowds and the kind of pressure-packed moments that write history.

If watching the action makes you want to test your game on the same stage, you won’t have to sleep outside for a tee time. With our Bethpage Black package in FSX Play, you can experience the challenge for yourself – from your home simulator.

Key Holes to Watch (and Play)

Bethpage’s reputation lives up to its warning sign. It delivers a steady diet of intimidation, precision and endurance. Here are a few holes you’ll see decide matches at the Ryder Cup – and can test for yourself in FSX Play:

Hole 4 – Par 5, 517 yards

Massive bunkers guard a narrow fairway, shrinking the target off the tee. At just 517, Ryder Cuppers will go for the green in two and competitors will be able to carry the massive bunker complex lining the fairway with ease. While one missed line brings bogey into play, they’ll likely need birdie to tie or win the hole. For everyday golfers, five is a score to be proud of.

Stretch 9-12

Four consecutive par 4s averaging 478 yards. Yikes.

Like all long par 4s, finding the fairway is of the utmost priority. Easier said than done when you’re looking at 300 yard carries like what you’ll see at No. 9.

No. 11 offers the trickiest green of the bunch, as it slopes away from you and has some diabolical options for pin locations. Finally, 12 has another eye-popping forced carry of 280 yards off the tee.

If the wind is blowing, good luck.

Hole 15 – Par 4, 484 yards

It’s earned its reputation as the course’s hardest hole. A sloped fairway kicks drives left into thick rough, while the green sits 50 feet above the landing area. GIR requires both distance and a towering ball flight to hold the surface. You pretty much need two flawless swings.
