In real life, Congressional is undergoing a massive renovation. The goal of bringing the course closer to the original feel of the intended design plus the strain from the heat plus the lack of airflow from the abundance of trees has created the need to remove trees. In the news, a member reported the club to the county for taking down too many trees without a permit. Stay tuned... Congressional, in simulation, is fun to play. It is very tight from the tees and the course has some obvious signature holes. The only drawback is that there are some trees that come into play from certain tee boxes. The primary example is a massive tree overhanging the tee box on the 220 yard par three 10th hole. Minus some ill place or represented trees, the course is very playable yet difficult. You won't be disappointed if you accept the challenge.
