Recently rebuilt championship golf course simulation praised for its authentic layout and challenging length. Customers said it offers a "true championship feeling" with excellent details including distinct grass types. Some noted poor FSX Play resolution and outdated pre-redesign version issues, though the 2025 rebuild addressed these concerns.

Great job on the rebuild

Foresight just released an updated rebuild of the course right before the PGA. It looks amazing. I haven't played it yet, but I looked through it on the computer and all the details are great. The aprons are distinct as they have a different grass type than the fairway and all the new greens and additions look spot on from what I can tell. You need to get this course as it is one of their best now.

Fun course to play. Plenty of length. Would like to see them update it with the new course design and bring it over to FSX Play for the Presidents Cup.

Outdated. Quail before the redesign

Great course. Plenty of length. Need to shape the ball off the tee some. However, this is the course before the redesign. Wish I knew that prior to purchasing.

Pretty Good!

I have not played Quail Hollow in real life, so I'm not the right guy to ask about realism. What I like is the layout of the course (thank you George Cobb and the founders I guess), with the water and trees. Same reason I love Coeur D'Alene. But this course is just brutally long from the tips. I paid no attention to the tee I selected, at the outset, and was humiliated by the length of the course! Subsequent play I chose more reasonable tees, and there are plenty of choices to suit your skill level. Play this well, from any tee, and you should be proud.
However, when playing shorter tees there are a couple of holes where you really should hit a controlled fade or draw because the dogleg creeps up on you quickly from the 'up' tees. Requires one to have skill and doesn't that make it fun? I make liberal use of the Mulligan feature while I'm practicing those drives. I call this a challenging course and sometimes that exactly what we need. Anyway, the real course is a well-deserved legend and this course should really be in your mix. I could give 5 if the graphics were higher-res in FSX, so I'm saving my 5-stars for those courses.
This course, like many/most, under FSX could use a graphic resolution upgrade to heighten the realism. But that's not about THIS course, specifically.

A great course! Enjoyed the layout and variety of holes. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because you can hit directly through the trees and it doesn't seem to hit them. There is also no background sound (birds chirping etc.). It is nice to have a course where they play a PGA event.

Having never played Quail Hollow and only watching the PGA play this beautiful course, experiencing it on the simulator really gives you a great sense of just how amazing this course is. It presents a challenge to any golfer and playing it on my GC quad makes you appreciate how good the Pros are. I recommend this course highly.
