Oakmont Country Club, designed by Henry Fownes and opened in 1903, has hosted more major championships than any other course in the U.S., including eight U.S. Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women’s Opens. Known for its demanding layout—featuring a multitude of deep bunkers (including the Church Pews), fast, sloping greens, and tight fairways—Oakmont is widely considered one of the toughest tests in golf. The historic course has been remastered in FSX Play with retextured foliage, signature fairway aprons, and enhanced buildings and roadways for a more immersive playing experience.

Not accurate

If you’ve actually played the real course, this is nothing like it. Terrain matters and the foresight version is a complete miss. Seems like a course designed off Google Maps aerial, without ever being onsite to understand topography; trash.

The experience around the greens when we ramp up the green speeds is very realistic in my experience. We play with lie penalties enabled and the one thing I found to be inconsistent is the really long grass is not a severe penalty so the really long and crooked players get a real reprieve on this course. Other than this, the course plays great and when friends come over to play Oakmont is always in the discussion.
