Pretty good match to the real thing. Several of the early holes don’t catch the real slopes but six through eighteen are really good. Great value for the money.

Kingsbarns

Kingsbarns is a beautiful course in real life. I played it with some golf buddies this summer. Now that its cold in Ohio, I wanted to have them over and recreate our experience. The views and graphics are true to real life. I especially appreciate 16, the par 3 at the edge of the ocean. I’m sure this will become one of my go to courses on my simulator. Nice job Foresight!

Nice Layout, Very Forgiving

Kingsbarns has a really nice layout with pretty views both of the heather and of the sea. Out of the links courses that I've played on FSX 2018, it is the most forgiving, almost to a fault. The penalty for missing fairways or going into the high grass is very minor, making it very enjoyable to play. The challenge aspect is lower than some of the other courses, but this is always a nice course to go to if I'm struggling a little bit to get my feel back or if I have some beginners over for a round. It shows the great graphics of the system without beating their shots up.

Amazing visuals!

I purchased this course ahead of going to Scotland at the end of this year. I have played it half a dozen times and I am so looking forward to comparing it to the real course. (I’ll check back in and write another review comparing the two). In the meantime the simulation is so much fun to play! The visuals are beautiful and the fairways wide open. Even sprayed drives can be played from an alternate fairway back into your hole. This course is an absolute add to your collection!
