Not for me

I'm a 1 handicap and I own roughly 50 courses and Big Sur is perhaps my least enjoyable course, certainly in the bottom 2 or 3. It's a bit of a target course and I've found a few places where the elevation is so extreme that you almost can't get out of them (even with a full lob wedge and I can hit it high). This is on FSX Play.

The design of a couple of the holes kind of stinks as well (the 9th hole comes to mind). If you want a challenge and like courses with a bunch of dog-leg holes, you might like this one. Otherwise you might look elsewhere.

Great Course

Big Sur is a beautiful course, lots of elevation changes, great scenery. This is my most recent addition and one of my favorite courses.

Great course

Let me preface by the fact I only own 10 or so courses. So far this is one of my favorites. It is scenic. It has some elevation changes. You get to make use of most of the different shots in your bag.

Big Sur

Stunning graphics and great play--one of my new favorite courses. I love the fly-by on the holes and getting to see the surroundings. The course is also a lot of fun-some great par 3's and enough length to make you use every club in the bag.

Beautiful Course

Big Sur is a beautiful course that requires all the shots. Subtle elevation changes, curved fairways , and fun par 3s may this one of my favorites. The scenery surrounding this course is amazing. I look forward to improving my game playing Big sur.

Fun course with

I really like this course. There is some elevation change and the water holes call for some course management choices. I also like that the shorter tee boxes all play even if you are unable to hit driver or 3 wood. All in all, this is one of the best of the 15-20 courses I own.

Enjoyable Course

This was a really enjoyable course. There are differing lengths, some good risk/reward options and the water is a great punisher of errant shots, but not so prevalent that it makes the course too difficult. Very pretty and good elevation changes. I also like that the rough was almost always a 'Lie Penalty' and not 'Flier Chance' which I think is more true to reality. This most recent addition is in my top-5 favorites overall.

Great Strategy Course

The scenery on this course is awesome. It definitely forces you to think off the tee with some great risk/reward holes. I believe one of the holes pictured on this page is a short, uphill par 4 where you can maybe sneak a driver near the green, but left is the abyss, and right is in the trees. Great hole. Fun course to play.
